Conversation Around The Table

At The Lane has partnered up with our writer friend Tori Schaulis to host a table event on May 19th and we want you to join us! The table is a place where conversation is meant to be shared and people are always welcome - that’s why we’re bringing #buildbridgesnotwalls to dinner!

Build Bridges Not Walls is a curriculum work guide designed to help people align their perceptions with their values. It’s an entry point to the conversation on race and culture and prompts the reader to examine their own bias and part in the story. Tori believes that bias is human nature, but self awareness and conscious action can change the world.

If you’re looking for a safe space to talk about race and culture, this is the perfect opportunity for you. We’ll get to know each other, ask good questions, and hear stories from people of diverse backgrounds - all over a good meal! Our goal is to make this conversation accessible and personal. We hope to walk away having learned something new from someone different than you.

Dinner will be catered by Harvest Moon and we’ll begin at 6 p.m. in an intimate backyard setting. Grab your ticket below and feel free to email us with any questions We’d love to have you!
