This event is a celebration of gal pals, our 1st birthday and YOU!
Here at At The Lane we love celebrating Galentine’s Day because it’s ladies celebrating ladies and as Leslie Knope says, it’s the best day of the year. We also love all things pink and being able to eat our body weight in donuts with all our lady friends. This will always be a special event for us because it was the first (official) event we ever did! It’s crazy to think that it’s already been a year since our first get-together, and we are SO touched y’all have continued to get-together with us ever since! So in celebration we are also having a birthday party for At The Lane :) And we can’t have a birthday party without all the lovely humans that made this last year so wonderful for At The Lane. So this is the unofficially official invitation to anyone and everyone who has loved and supported us, whether in person or in praise, this past year. And if you’re new here, you are invited too! Trust me, we would LOVE to have ya!
And we are also celebrating you.
With busy schedules, the comparison game and the LIE that cake is only acceptable on birthdays, we’ve noticed people have stopped taking time to celebrate, especially when it comes to celebrating themselves. But here at At The Lane we believe ANY accomplishment, big or small, deserves time in the spotlight!
We want to hear all about the good hair day you had, the baby you birthed, the yummy dessert you learned to make, the poetry you shared for the first time, the new skill you mastered (or even just attempted to master), the law school you applied to, the art you finally got around to hanging in your living room. the bad job you quit and the time you made up your bed (throw pillows and all) for an entire week.
Before the party, take some time and think about something you did over this past year that really made you smile. Maybe you’ve already told everyone you know about it, maybe you haven’t told a soul. Whatever it is, bring it with you! Either literally (like the cocktail you learned to make or that grad school acceptance letter) or just have it in your mind ready to share! Because we want to throw confetti all over you and your celebration!
We ask that in addition to the thing you are celebrating, you bring something to eat or drink!
Feel free to make it Galentine’s Day themed (cookies, pink champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, etc.) or birthday party festive (donuts, pizza rolls, soda, pigs in a blanket, cupcakes, etc.). Really you can bring anything you want! We eat/drink all the things ;)
In true Galentine’s Day style there will be flowers galore, plenty of pink and photo-ops for you and your ladies! And as with any backyard birthday there will be birthday cake, fun party hats and balloons a plenty!

At The Lane is all about encouraging creativity and an important part of that is sharing the space to create! So if you want to bake, photograph, video, decorate, create a playlist for the event, design a menu, calligraphy table questions, play an instrument, make an art piece, craft a balloon garland, etc. we would LOVE to have your talents on display! Shoot us your ideas in the form below when you RSVP. But please know there is absolutely NO pressure to bring anything other than your dish and your wonderful self!
Y’all we could not have had such a wonderfully FUN and full first year without you!
