3rd Annual Galentine's Day

Galentine’s Day is one of our absolute favorite holidays around At The Lane. We have celebrated every year since we began and it was the first “official” gathering we had once At The Lane was born! So we are really really really big fans of this holiday.

This year we wanted to host a warm and elegant gathering that still emphasized all the pink and girliness of the holiday. We had portraits taken by a lovely attendee, Renata, a ladies only playlist playing, and even a to-go box filled with festive cotton candy for each gal to take home. We also had blank Valentine’s Day cards and everyone wrote their name and address on one of the cards. At the end of the evening, everyone took a card to write and send a Valentine to someone else at the table, later in the week!

Each gal brought a dish or drink to share and a picture of a woman who inspired them! We chatted all evening long about these ladies and what they mean to us. We celebrated mothers and grandmothers, coworkers and friends, celebrities and CEO’s! It was amazing hearing all the stories about these women and how they have made an impact on each of the ladies’ lives.

We also continued our most favorite tradition for our Galentine’s Day gathering last year and celebrated with ALL the confetti. Each gal stepped into the circle and shared something about themselves or something they had done in the past year. It didn’t matter if it was a big thing or a small thing, it just had to be something they were proud of. Then all the other gals cheered them on and threw handfuls of confetti all over them. And just like last year, we were reminded that being cheered on by a group of ladies (some who had just met that night!) and doused in pounds of confetti is the absolute best most joyous feeling in the world :)
